WHY THIS PROGRAMME?

In an increasingly competitive and innovative business world, executives, managers and directors are pushed hard to be more efficient and effective. Resources are scarce, competitors are unforgiving, customers are demanding and shareholders are expecting superior corporate performance. In this scenario, executives need to response to the challenge with demonstrated capabilities to deliver results.. time after time. They have to deliver “Faster ,Better, Cheaper ” and with an attitude that speaks of a positive ‘can do’ mindset. It is tough call…but then, these are tough times!

These series of workshop Modules delivered by an integrated programme ( MLDP ) is designed to specifically provide the ideas, insights and practicable skills ( with inspirational messages on ‘positive’ mindsets!)that will prepare the participants, in a measurable way, to face these challenges. Participants need to be actively involved in every Module ( 9 Modules) of the programme…which is delivered in an experiential manner by skilled, experienced facilitators.

OBJECTIVES

At the close of the MLDP, participants will be find that they can :

  • Understand the corporate message and align with it

  • Identify, analyse and solve problems and make decisions more efficiently and effectively

  • Communicate and relate with others more meaningfully, developing empathic relationships

  • Coach others while building trust and commitment from stakeholders thereby facilitating conflict resolution

  • Develop and enhance an innovative mindset that initiate ideas for improvement and positive change…personal and organizational

  • Adopt a agile mentality that introduces flexibility in thinking while still focusing on deliverables and results achievement.

  • Adopt ideas and action plans for self improvement and change…with buddies..

WHO IS IT FOR?
Senior Executives and Managers who need to re-examine their leadership and managerial effectiveness and their ability to deliver results that are practicable. It is expected that not more than 20 participants attend each programme at a time.

MODULE
Module 1 Align With the Organization

Module 4 Solve Problem, Make Decision

  • Use defined processes to make decisions
  • Apply the four problem solving questions to hold others accountable

Module 5 Communicate

  • Understand the communication process
  • Apply listening and feedback skills
  • Present ideas in a convincing way

Module 6 Develop Empathy

  • Apply human relations principles to build relationships
  • Know and apply a coaching process
  • Delegate effectively

Module 7 Build Trust and Commitment

  • Build trust and commitment
  • Gain co-operation from others
  • Handle mistakes and resolve conflict effectively

Module 8 Become Flexible and Make It Happen

  • Open up to risk, change and opportunity
  • Evaluate personal results from this training
  • Strive for continuous improvement

Module 9 Projects( Optional )
Besides the 8 modules mentioned above, the participants are also required to complete the following projects:

  1. Management Plan
  2. Report on Problem Solving and Decision Making

These projects must address and provide possible solutions to their workplace issues and challenges.

APPROACH & METHODOLOGY

The programme is designed for active participation and will also be mentally stimulating. There will be in-depth discussion groups, facilitated lectures, case studies with debriefings, role plays, videofilms, simulations, instrumentations and questionnaires and feedback video and exercises. Participants need to be prepared to be conceptually and behaviourally challenged…and to do likewise with others…in order to create new paradigms of thought and behaviour. A Learning Log will be designed for participants to record and capture their ‘insights and learnings’ throughout the programme and to share these with their supervisors and collegues at work. This will also help them in their project venture.

DURATION
3 days. From 9.00am to 5.00pm. Some group work may be necessary at end of the first day for about 1 & 1/2 hours.
