Director & Senior Consultant

Dr.George Koshy has been actively involved in the field of human resource management since January 1965. He started his career with the Ministry of Education for a short stint and then in the private sector where he dealt with the full range of human resource functions at the operational as well as the corporate level.

He holds a Bachelor of Economics Degree from the University of Malaya (1965) as well as an MBA from the same University. In 1969 Dr. Koshy was awarded a German government scholarship to pursue a post- graduate Diploma in Industrial Management in West Germany. He also obtained the Train the Trainers Certificate issued jointly by the Ministry of Labor and the International Labor Organization (ILO). In early 2004 he successfully completed the Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) from USA.

He held the position of Training Officer at the National Productivity Corporation for five years and later joined Pernas Charter Management Sdn Bhd (the largest mining Management Company) to establish and head their Personnel department. In 1980, he assumed the position of Group Human Resource & Public Relations Manager with Associated Pan Malaysia Group of Companies, a post he held until his retirement in 1998.

Dr. Koshy has been actively involved with various institutions dealing with HR issues and as an acknowledged specialist in HR matters, he has presented Papers at conferences in Malaysia and Asean countries. In 1998, he was invited to write a series of articles for the STAR newspaper on various aspects of retrenchment.

He is currently a Director of two companies dealing with education, consulting and human capital development. He also provides various programs in human resource management and soft skills at MIM, MIHRM, MITD and INTAN and other training Institutions. In March 2002 he was given the Resource Person Service Award in recognition of his services to MIM. He has been an active member of the Rotary Club of Petaling Jaya for thirty years (1976 – 2006).

He is currently a part time lecturer at a number of MBA programs as well as a Project Supervisor at the University of Strathclyde Business School.
